We have a kidney!

We came back from camping this past week to the wonderful news that of the 2 donors that passed initial screening and went on to beginning blood work, BOTH of them are matches! One is a little bit better match so we are starting with her. She will go thru the rest of her blood work and a few more tests to make sure everything else it OK. So if something goes wrong (which we pray it won't) we are blessed enough to have a good 'back up'! Anyhow, surgery will be within the next 2 months according to our nephrologists at last months appointment. So YEAH!

Dinner is Done!

Well, for any of you who attended the dinner, we hope you had a lot of fun! We sure did! Glad it's over, but it was really worth it! We had a great turn out and amazing support! There were incredible people who donated things to raffle, silent auction and live auction, help cook & serve and man different stations. Below are some pictures that were taken to show some different sides of it!
First, we need to thank Grandpa & Grandma Lords for coming over to watch the kids all day while the event was being put together! THANK YOU!

All the food was donated by vendors & Alison herself, of Alison's Pantry. That is the monthly fundraiser that Amy does. We sure do appreciate Alison's help in contacting vendors and doing all that for us! The food was delicious, too!

May Dinner/Auction

May 21st from 5-7 pm will be our dinner/auction fund raiser. It will be located at the convention center. Tickets will be $5 a person/$15 a family. Spaghetti & Meatballs, rolls & veggies will be served. There will be a raffle & silent auction. We will be selling tickets at Walgreens, The Medicine Shoppe and at the door. Should be a fun and yummy night!

FUN! FUN! BUNCO!








We just wanted to let you know how much fun was had at BUNCO! And to thank everyone who came to support me. My mom took me and introduced me to a lot of amazing people! Thank you everyone who participated! We had 44 people playing BUNCO, winning raffle prizes and of course the 4 prizes at the end of the game. THANK YOU!

We also decided do this again in the Fall sometime so watch for advertisements for another fun filled night of BUNCO!

Bank of America/Pay Pal Donations

I now have a bank account set up at Bank of America for any of you who would like to place a donation. Although my account was opened here in Fallon, NV, you can donate at any Bank of America location. If you would like to place a donation, just give the bank teller my name, Daniel E. Lords, making sure to mention my middle initial so he/she can pull up the correct account. Also be sure to mention that my account is in the Fallon, NV branch if you are donating from a different location.
I've also had people ask about donating through Pay Pal. You can log onto
www.paypal.com and click on "Send Money". It will ask for the email address of the person you're sending money to (mine is amylords@gmail.com) and the amount of money you wish to contribute. Your donation will then be deposited into my account. Thank you!

BUNCO Fund Raiser

On March 12th from 7-9 p.m. at the Old Post Office (located at 90 N. Maine), we will be holding a BUNCO Fund Raiser. The cost of entry will be a $10 per person donation. To reserve one of the 48 seats available, call Kara Sommer at 423-5503 before Feburary 27th. If you have never played BUNCO, we would be happy to teach you! BUNCO is easy to learn and requires only that you roll the dice and count the dots. Come join us for a fun-filled evening!

Cookie Dough/Mixes Fund Raiser

We have an upcoming fund raiser that will be starting February 21st. It is for frozen cookie dough: Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin and Macaroon. We will also be selling dry mixes of: Fudge Brownie, White Cake & Muffin Mix, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie, Sweet Roll, Pretzel Mix, and Chocolate Cake & Muffin Mix.

This fund raiser will be similar to the sale of Girl Scout Cookies. If you contact one of the Lords' Little Helpers listed below, she will get you an order form to take to work or send with your kids from door to door. You will have until March 13th to take orders and return the form to your Lords' Little Helpers contact. The products ordered will be delivered to Amy Lords' house around April 12th. She will call you when the order is ready for pick up. The money will be due to your Lords' Little Helpers contact by April 18th. Whoever sells the most will win a cash prize of $200!
